Colombian Center John Hernandez (207-C-1984) put on an amazing game in the last round for Santiagueno BC, receiving a Hoops Agents Liga MB Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 41-year old player had a double-double of 33 points and 24 rebounds, while his team edged out Brujos (#11, 0-6), the league's bottom-ranked team 98-97. Santiagueno is placed at 8th position in Salvadorean Liga MB. Santiagueno is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 2-3 record. Hernandez turned to be Santiagueno's top player in his first season with the team. John Hernandez has solid league stats. He leads league in rebounds with 22.2rpg. Hernandez is in league's top in and averages impressive 1.4bpg.

The second best player in last round's games was American Noryen Lasley (201-F, agency: Fully Feared Sports) of Independiente. Lasley had a very good evening with a double-double of 33 points and 20 rebounds. Of course he led Independiente to another comfortable win outscoring the higher-ranked Santa Ana (#6, 3-3) 86-66. Despite this victory Independiente slide down in the standings to 9th position. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 2-3 record. Lasley is a newcomer at Independiente, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Jerome Savoy (185-G) of league's second-best A.Lobos BKB. Savoy showcased his all-around game by recording 29 points, 17 rebounds (!!!) and 5 assists in the last round. He was a key player of A.Lobos, leading his team to a 115-59 easy win against the lower-ranked Santiagueno (#8, 2-3). A.Lobos is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 4-1 record is not that bad... Savoy has a great season in El Salvador. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.6ppg (3rd best), rebounds with 11.4rpg (6th best) and assists with 4.4apg (8th best).
